Aligned with the global theme for World Mental Health Day, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” each campaign is designed to encourage participants to express themselves, connect with others, and encourage conversations about mental health at home.
Curated like a real home, “You Are Home” is an immersive World Mental Health Day activation that transforms four essential spaces—a Bedroom for restful reflection, a Dining Area celebrating supportive conversation as daily nourishment, a Living Room cultivating genuine connection and healing, and a Bathroom designed for releasing burdens and embracing renewal. Through interactive elements in each room, visitors are invited to pause, share personal stories, and reflect on what truly makes a space feel safe.
As participants leave behind messages and receive words of hope left by others, their shared experiences weave a collective narrative toward psychological safety—encouraging a shift toward making our everyday environments places where vital conversations about mental health can naturally begin.
The exhibit will be opened on 9 October 2026 at 6:30 PM, and it features a series of interactive spaces at home where visitors are invited to pause, listen, and reflect. This exhibit is brought to life in partnership with IKEA. The entire exhibit is outfitted with IKEA furniture and key design elements, grounding the conceptual experience in familiar home settings.
On 10 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., visitors may participate in “Living Literatures,” an intimate storytelling experience inspired by the Human Library concept. Through focused, one-on-one or small group conversations, individuals with lived experiences serve as “human books,” sharing their personal stories to promote understanding, connection, and meaningful dialogue.
Living Literature will feature the participation of Filipino mental health advocates and artists, including Riyan Portuguez (Your Millennial Psychologist), Kuya Kim Atienza, and other mental health advocates. who continue to champion awareness, empathy, and mental health conversations in their respective fields. Registration is still open, and participants can sign up through: bit.ly/wmhdyouarehome2026.
Finally, on October 11, the campaign will culminate in a community choir experience entitled “Living Voices.” Living Voices is a one-day choir experience led by Sanghimig Performing Arts. It is designed to gather individuals to sing, share, and celebrate community through harmony. It amplifies the message that all voices, including those of persons with lived experiences (PWLE), are welcome. We may have diverse voices, but together creates one harmony.
“Notes of Hope,” an online dashboard, will be launched and will be made accessible throughout the exhibition. Visitors will have access to QR codes strategically placed to connect them to the website: onemoredayph.org. Through the platform, visitors can submit anonymous letters of hope and encouragement. These messages are then randomly surfaced to others browsing the site, creating an ongoing exchange of support, compassion, and shared humanity that extends beyond the exhibit itself.
Since its founding in the year of 2016, #MentalHealthPH has remained committed to advancing mental health awareness, education, and advocacy across diverse sectors and communities. The organization has collaborated with key stakeholders, including the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) for the development of the directory of mental health facilities and services in the Philippines and with the Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS) and the Philippine Science High School National Alumni Association (PSHS NAA) for the promotion of mental health in schools. Recently, the organization was recognized by USTV+ for the Media Excellence Award in Psychological Awareness and Advocacy, recognizing the organization's efforts in leveraging digital media for awareness building. A testament to its continued efforts in fostering a more informed, inclusive, and mentally healthy society.
As the movement continues to grow, You Are Home is an invitation to reimagine what psychologically safe homes look and feel like, and to impact thousands of Filipinos. Because home is more than just a place; it is a feeling and the people you return to where you can be fully, honestly, and unapologetically you.
