With Oasis selling out stadiums again and bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters dominating global tours, it’s clear that rock is storming back into the mainstream. Locally, MONDO is carrying that same torch — a band intent on bringing raw, unfiltered energy back to modern music.
“People have gotten used to safe and predictable sounds,” shares vocalist Mondo Castro. “We’re here to shake things up — to remind everyone that rock is supposed to make you feel something visceral.”

Lead guitarist LC De Leon echoes the sentiment: “We miss the danger in music — the kind that makes you want to move, shout, and think. That’s what MONDO is all about.”
Behind the drums, Mico Marasigan adds, “Every show we play feels like a mission. We’re not just performing songs — we’re reviving a spirit that’s been asleep for too long.”
Bassist Lui Rodriguez sums it up with conviction: “This isn’t about being retro. It’s about being real. The world needs that kind of honesty again.”
