Hey guys!! Im back here in my blog and Im writing again (back again) a tech review!
For the start of 2026, here's my 1st tech review post featuring the realme15 5G smartphone.

I got this phone around September 2025, I did a series of test for my Youtube channel and if you are interested here's a  list of videos:

Ok let's go back to my tech review of the realme 15 5G.
I got the silk pink body color, and the look is not that colorful pink
Im so glad that it wont be like a Sanrio-like colored theme.
But I like the pinkish glow when light reflects on the body
It looks very clean, simple and neat.

Here's the full tech specs of the realme 15 5G and also its pricing for the Philippines market.

Unboxing the realme 15 5G
Here's what you can get when you buy the realme 15 5G

Inside the box:
realme 15 5G unit
jelly case
paper manual
SIM tray pin
USB C cable
80W SUPERVOOC charger

Base on the tech specs, the realme 15 5G is well protected, it has an armor shell body and it also have a higher IP Rating and protection from dust and water splashes. I've tested the previous model of realme and Im happy with the water submersible stunt and it did survive, I did not do a water test on this model but Im confident that it will stay alive even I use it to take photos while on a pool or a river, just make sure not use the phone when you are on the ocean, because salt water can damage the body and tech parts outside the phone.

As for accidental drop and fall. I dropped my realme 15 5G many times, and Im surprised that it did survive and thanks to its jelly case protection for the body and screen. The side of the jelly case is a bit higher than the screen, so it serves like an impact absorber if ever the phone fell down and facing the screen.

The screen is good and the size is just right. I started not to like phones with bigger screen, but the realme 15 5G is taking us back to the original form of the phone. That is easy to hold, grip and light weight. The screen is smooth and with 144Hz refresh rate, it wont lag on you when browsing or scrolling some apps. If you are using another phone brand, your eyes might get a hard time adjusting, because the realme 15 5G is super smooth and the colors of the screen is well  balanced for the eyes.

here's the full body of the realme 15 5G

The rear camera features the 50MP and 8MP. Its a bit sad that there's no telephoto zoom on this unit. But you can get a nice main camera to shoot 1x  of photo and video. As of the wide angle feature, it was okay, but poor when in low light. But the most impressive here is that the main camera can shoot good quality videos even if its in low light.

Here's the front camera of the realme 15 5G - the 50MP selfie camera.
Taking selfie is not a problem with its 50MP selfie mode. The part that I like in the front camera is that it can shoot photos in wide selfie mode.

The screen and the on screen finger print scanner to unlock the phone.

Bottom view of the realme 15 5G - the SIM Tray, mic pin hole, USB Type C port and the speaker grills

Right side of the realme 15 5G body - the power button and the volume controls

Top view of the realme 15 5G - the mic pin hole and another speaker grill

Left side view of the realme 15 5G  - no buttons

SIM Tray specs - its a dual nano SIM, but there's no microSD card tray space.
So users will be stuck only at 256GB internal storage.

Close up view of the dual nano SIM tray

The jelly case. The design of the jelly case reminds me of something.. hmmm
it looks like it came from another brand.. with the letter  "O"

But I like my realme 15 5G phone with jelly case, it can help protect it from scratches or be damage from accidental falls. Im glad that the jelly case is a bit stylish and they have remove the basic plain jelly transparent style.

I like the glow light effect when charging and when it receives notification. This is a great feature when your phone is placed down and facing the screen on the table. You know that there's an incoming message or a notif update. No need to be on the screen anytime.

The photo mode -- with 0.6x wide shot

the video mode - 0.6x wide shot for video
btw this is the rear camera

For the front video selfie, you get the 0.8x wide selfie video, 1x and 2x

And for the front camera, you get the 0.8x wide selfie photo

For portrait mode - you get the 0.8x wide photo and 1x. But 2x is no longer present.

More options for the camera mode - the best part here is that it can let you shoot Underwater

When you press Underwater mode. The main camera 1x will be activate and rest of the screen operation will be locked. But take note of the risk and make sure not to charge your phone after the underwater mode. Let it dry first and wait for around 30minutes before charging.

During Underwater mode, the screen controls are locked. You can use the volume controls to take photo and video. If you want to exit the Underwater mode, just press hold on the power button and wait for a 5 seconds count down.

This is the best feature of the realme 15 5G when you use the phone in doing underwater shots, after you exit the underwater mode, the phone will vibrate and emits a low sound, this feature will eject water from the USB Type C port, mic hole and speaker grills.

Take note that the mic and speaker might be muffed after some water submersion. It will work properly when it gets dried up and when water is no longer present (or even moist)

Sometimes the rear and front camera can get moisture after the underwater mode. So taking photos and videos might become blurry. Just let it dry and it will go back to normal.

Tip: I just let it dry and let sunlight warm it up and dissolve the moisture.

Viewing content on social media is good in realme 15 5G

Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Twitter and many more. No problems on the phone when using it

In gaming mode, the realme 15 5G activates the GT Boost. This is a great menu controls if you want to customize some operations for your gaming activity. No need to leave the game if you want to tinker something in your phone. You can also choose to boost your phone to GT mode for more high performance on the game, or you can it to low power mode or at balanced mode.

Here are some photo samples taken using the realme 15 5G

THE REVIEW

I enjoyed using this phone more on taking photos and selfies. The camera is good for outdoor shots and in well lighted environment. But when it comes to low light, the rear main camera works okay, but the selfie mode is struggling to get a non blurry shots, thanks to its AI thing, the selfie gets a simple AI edit upgrade to convert the low light shot into a better photo output.

The body of the realme 15 5G is very comfy to handle. I have no problems in using it for a long period of time, unlike other phones, with bigger screen and thickness when its wearing a jelly case.

Video mode and making some reel videos is good, thanks to its OIS feature, even if its in low light, there's no shaky and blurry videos during my reels shooting inside a low light room. Some people noticed my video of the realme thanksgiving party and they loved the low light feature of the video of the rear camera.  Thats plus points!

For my gaming time with the realme 15 5G, it is smooth and the graphics displayed a much higher fps. I only play the Call of Duty Mobile on a smartphone and thats my gaming test activity. The dual stereo sounds added more entertainment and the smoothness of the screen and accuracy of the movement of controls is very satisfying to me. No lag encountered. No overheating.

The only complain that I can share is that the 7000mah battery is so huge!!! Charging this phone on a powerbank or on a regular charging brick takes a lot of time. Because of the big battery specs, it can power the realme 15 5G for a long period of time. So make sure you have the 80W SUPERVOOC Charging brick with you and its USB C Cable.

realme 15 5G is fit for phone users who are into gaming, photography, vlogging, travelers and lifestyle users. It doesnt look fashionable, but thanks to the jelly case and the silk color style of the body, it can add its own identity in every users. Just like me, even that I use the silk pink colored body, it doesnt look more feminine. For me it looks very neat and clean.

realme 15 5G looks so simple, but it is packed with a lot of power and big battery specs!
