Last April , Amiya Raya once again came alive with color, laughter, and the simple joys of family life as it hosted its 5th annual kite flying event, “Kite Show At The Top.”
Set against a bright summer sky and gentle highland breeze, families, residents, and guests gathered for a laid-back afternoon that perfectly captured what life at Amiya Raya is all about—space to breathe, time to connect, and moments that matter.
The event was hosted by Ma. Eiffe IbaƱez of Community Creators, Inc., and opened with welcome remarks from Cathy Antonio of the Amiya Raya Sales Team, who also shared updates on flexible purchase options, including a 36-month installment plan and a 2% discount for land acquisitions.
Adding a meaningful cultural dimension to the day was Mr. Orly Ongkingco, President of the Philippines Kite Flying Association. He spoke about how kite flying remains a cherished Filipino tradition—one that brings families together, encourages creativity, and celebrates the outdoors. He also highlighted how rare it is today to find communities like Amiya Raya, where wide open spaces still allow such traditions to thrive.
Throughout the grounds, food and beverage booths offered refreshments as families relaxed, mingled, and enjoyed the cool breeze and scenic surroundings. On the other hand, Children eagerly decorated their kites with vibrant colors, with their excitement building as they prepared to send them soaring into the sky.
As the afternoon unfolded, kites danced against a canvas of blue skies and golden sunset hues—a fitting symbol of the freedom and joy that define the Amiya Raya experience.
“This is something we truly take pride in at Amiya Raya,” shared Cathy Antonio. “We offer more than just a place to live—we offer a way of life. Here, families can slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of nature, something that is becoming increasingly rare so close to the city.”
The day concluded with the awarding of winners:
• Highest Flying Kite: Nadine Cacdac
• Longest Tail:OshanLandicho
• Most Colorful Kite:RandellSangalang
Meanwhile, creativity shone brightly in the kite workshop, with winners including Royce Keon Fragata, Bianca & Monica Enriquez, and Rain & Forest Segaya.
More than just a community event, the kite flying day was a celebration of family, tradition, and the beauty of outdoor living—a reminder that sometimes, the best moments are the simplest ones.
